We caught up with Hospitality Finder Horse Racing Ambassador and Conditional Jockey, Jonjo O’Neill Jr at Jackdaws Castle to chat all things family.
“It’s very much a family run operation and I’m very lucky I have the relationship with both my mum and dad that it works so well here with us at Jackdaws.
Mum is also a big part of the business. We all bounce off each other and it works really as there’s no secrets between us, we tell it like it is. We can work out different training regimes for the horses because we’re honest. If I make a mistake, I’ll be the first one to tell him [dad] and, he’ll be the first one to tell me.
I’m lucky that I have a relationship like this with him, and he’s also my mentor and trainer. I feel in a very privileged position.”
