With the Six Nations well underway it was England’s second match of the tournament, where the team made their way to Cardiff to take on the Welsh side.

Hospitality Finder guests were once again treated to superb hospitality at the Angel Hotel. Located in the centre of Cardiff city right next to the iconic Principality Stadium, this venue is a landmark of the city and comes alive on a match-day, making it the perfect place to be for this Six Nations game.

Upon arrival, guests were treated to a champagne reception before taking to their seats in this exquisite venue. They were then treated to a sumptuous four-course lunch where they enjoyed fine wines and liquors along with their meal.

The day wouldn’t be complete without celebrity guest speakers to entertain everyone, which included former Rugby Union player Jeremy Guscott and Wales International rugby union player Ryan Jones. The pair took to the stage to give their pre-match analysis alongside former rugby union player David Trick.

Not long after lunch, our guests made their way to the Stadium ready for what was set to be a nail-biting game between the two rugby giants. Within the first three minutes, Wales received a penalty kick, shortly followed by Owen Farrell scoring a penalty for England to bring the score level. After a long stand-off at the Welsh line, England scored a try, but the conversion was missed by Farrell.

The Welsh side were on the verge of a try but were stopped in their tracks after England won the ball illegally, allowing them a penalty, but they came fighting back with a spectacular move scoring them a try which was converted by Halfpenny. At the halftime whistle, the home side were in the lead with the score 13-8.

A repeat of the first half saw England get a penalty kick followed by a successful penalty kick from the Welsh side just five minutes later. There was disappointment for England when they were on the game line about to score a try when Dan Biggar intercepted them. England started to level the playing field after they scored a penalty kick received from a high tackle, making the score 16-14.

At the 75thminute a spectacular run by England saw them score a try, which was then converted by Farrell to give them the game with a final score of 16-21.

After a thrilling match the guests made their way back to the Angel Hotel for some post-match refreshments to round off the day.

The result places England at the top of the Six Nations table before their next match against Italy at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham. Whilst Wales will be hoping for a victory at Murrayfield as they take on Scotland in their next fixture.
