How are match and bonus points awarded?
For each win, teams will be awarded four points, and two points for draws. There are also bonus points awarded for scoring more than four tries in one match. A losing bonus point is earned for losses by seven points or less. A team that wins all five matches (Grand Slam) receives an extra three points to guarantee first place.
What trophies and titles are at stake?
The main prize is the Guinness Men's Six Nations Championship trophy. Additional honours include the Grand Slam (Winning all five games), and the Triple Crown, which is awarded when one of the Home Nations (England, Ireland, Scotland, or Wales beats the other three in the same season.
When does the Six Nations take place?
The championship is played once a year from early February to mid-March. There are 5 rounds with rest weekends built into the schedule.
