Monumental Rematch & Heavyweight Title Fight

The first undisputed heavyweight title fight on British soil will occur between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois. Mark your calendars for the 19th of July at Wembley, when the two champions will compete for all four major heavyweight titles. This will be the second bout between the two fighters. The first fight in 2023, is still contested today regarding the controversial fifth-round low-blow. Usyk came out on top by forcing Dubois down to his knees twice, once in the eighth, and the decisive one on the ninth.

"It will be a massive night and a historic one for British sport because the undisputed title has never been fought for in the UK. There will be four belts on the line, and it is history-making stuff."

- Frank Warren, Queensberry Promotion

For the home hero Dubois, this presents the greatest opportunity to cement his name in British boxing history. Winning will make him the first-ever British boxer to hold all four belts. Whereas, for Usyk, this is an opportunity to solidify his claim as the best heavyweight boxer of his generation.

Statements from the Fighters

“I can't wait to put him to sleep, I'm on fire now. I'm just pent up. I'm ready to go. It's going to be a bloodbath...in the ring on the night he'll be doing a funny dance when I hit him.

We don't care about no body shots. We're going to knock him out on July 19.”

- Daniel Dubois

“I’m grateful to God for the opportunity to once again fight for the undisputed championship. Thank you, Daniel, for taking care of my IBF belt – now I want it back.”

- Oleksandr Usyk

The Undercard Fights

  • Lawrence Okolie v Kevin Lerena - WBC Silver Heavyweight Title
  • Daniel Lapin v Lewis Edmondson - IBF Inter-Continental Light-Heavyweight Title
  • Vladyslav Sirenko v Solomon Dacres - Heavyweight Contest
British Fighters Okolie and Edmondson will be undercard fighters to the highly anticipated undisputed world heavyweight title fight between Usyk and Dubois. Both fights will go the full 12 rounds. Okolie moved up to the heavyweight division last December and has to be quick to solidify himself as a title contender in the division. South African Kevin Lerena is also a notable fighter in the undercard having fought Daniel Dubois in the past. He gained a bit of notoriety for knocking down Daniel Dubois three times before the fight was stopped in Dubois' favour in the third round. Following the announcements of Okolie and Emondson, Sirenko and Dacres will now also be fighting in the undercard. This is thought to be a highly unpredictable bout added to the already high-profile bout. Dacres will be looking to make the most out of the opportunity in front of his home crowd. This fight for him is seen as a make-or-break moment after his rocent TKO loss. This is also a great opportunity for Sirenko who is currently undefeated at the prime age of 30. The Ukranian has spent a lot of his professional career fighting out in Germany, building an impressive record in the division.
